Visit Myrtle Beach and avoid the snow in East TN

It’s been so cold in East Tennessee lately that my husband and I have been thinking of getting away. Hubby loves the beach and he has been wanting to try his hand at a few rounds of golf. Traveling someplace where it’s warm would be nice. It’s too bad that the Caribbean, Nassau and Puerto Rico are too far away for a short trip.

After checking the weather, I decided to have a look at Myrtle Beach. It’s one of my favorite places to travel. At the time of this writing the weather is a near perfect 58 degrees. That’s much better than the 11 degree weather we’re having up here in East Tennessee.

I’ve written about them before and decided to take another look at some of the resorts in Myrtle Beach such as the Avista Resort. It caught my eye because it’s a Myrtle Beach hotel that offers multiple floor plans. They have everything from the basic standard room with two double beds up to two and three bedroom floor plans.

The Avista Resort also offers vacation packages and their golf packages are sure to make Hubby very happy. He has been wanting to learn to play for awhile now. This may give him a chance to practice. The resort is close enough to Myrtle Beach that I can check out some of the town’s interesting shops and stores while he’s on the golf course.

It also helps that Allegiant Air flies from Knoxville to Myrtle Beach. This discount carrier has a reputation for inexpensive flights which makes traveling even easier. With them, there’s no worrying about traveling over snow covered mountains to get to the beach! When it comes to resorts in Myrtle Beach I think that this one is worth a second look.
